Due to the gaming scene this last year being very much boring with regards to first person shooters, I’ve not bothered playing much, but since the talk of this this game has sprung up online, its had me by the hairs on my neck! I remember playing this the first time around and loving every minute of the game, and with modern graphic cards being more than brilliant for these kinds of games, I can only asume that this is going to be the Game of the Year for me!
When i say It looks absolutly brilliant, I feel this is an understatement! For those of you who didnt play the first version of Operation Flashpoint back in 2001 this will for me be the next BF2142! (If not better!)Â To actually get a feel for the game there is a few things that need to be said… This is a FPS combat simulation game. E.G You have no hidden pockets on you as a player, everything you carry is on you’re back. To reload a weapon will actually take as long as it should in a real life situation. So an RPG reload can take a good 30 seconds and you get an actual sequence of you relaoding it. So if you’re not in a position to reload, you will need to fall back and reload and move up again to take the shot! (Class!)
