Hello there!
After a brief spell in hibernation, the LanOps team has reformed, recruited a few lost souls from the fallout of other LAN projects and have decided to step forwards once more unto the breach.
We are therefore very pleased to announce that our experienced team is returning with LanOps 8.
The event is being held over the first weekend in May at a new venue in Sheffield, just a few minutes drive from junction 33 of the M1. The venue has a large car park, an on-site bar, kitchen and a grassy area for tents for those who wish to bring them.
While as always LanOps is focused on fun and having a good time, we will be running our usual marathon tournament system for prize giveaways as well as a few large games just for fun. We will also be hosting a few social games away from the computers (shock horror!) as well as putting on a BBQ Saturday night.
We are once more being joined by the ProjectorGames team who will be doing their usual mix of fun and mayhem over the weekend.

BBQ
We are holding a barbecue Saturday evening, for £5 all sorts of goodies will be available for your consumption.
Social Gaming
ProjectorGames will be in the social area along with consoles and Rockband.
Spectators are welcome to participate in non any non tournament social games.
Sleeping
You can either bring your own tent (There is space for 20 or so tents) or use our dedicated sleeping room. The sleeping room and kitchen is located in a separate building adjacent to the camping area.
